SHORT TERM DISABILITY
Eligibility
You will be eligible for the Wage Continuation Plan following six months of full time employment.
Elimination period
There is a one week waiting period before benefits begin. Each disability is treated separately for purposes of the one-week waiting
Weekly Benefit Amount
G&W Equipment offers short-term disability coverage, at no cost to you, to help replace a portion of your income if
you are unable to work due to a personal sickness or injury. The STD benefit pays 60% of your covered earnings, up
to $1,500 per week. The benefit begins after 5 days of injury or illness and lasts up to 90 days. You are eligible for STD
benefits after 6 months of employment.
Cost of benefit
There is no cost to you at this time. G& W Equipment pays the cost of this coverage.
